Waiting For Your Love

Released in January of 2023, the song "Waiting For Your Love" was influenced by electronic artists such as Lenno and Oliver. I wanted a faster tempo vibe with a disco beat. I immediately put together the verse with a funky guitar, a groovy bass, and a 90's house style piano. While I was writing this song, someone from my past reached out to me to apologize for never giving us a real shot. Flustered, I want to say that I was sick of "waiting for your love" over the years. Instead, I internalized, and put it in a song. Healthy right? My favorite lyric from the song is "my heart has taken beatings". I was thinking about how I've been hurt over the years with this off and on relationship, but here I am, heart is still beating and taking beatings. To wrap up this song, I wanted to attempt to create a saxophone sound similar to song "Jason" by "The Midnight". It was tough to produce, but I threw it in over the post chorus. The "Sax" was decent, therefore the song was complete. Hope y'all enjoy.
